Location of The Hide at High Oatfield, Lochdon

 

High Oatfield is located approx. 6 kilometers (3.7 mile) south of Craignure Pier and 15 kilometers (9.3 mile) from Fishnish Pier.

From Oban – Craignure ferry.

Leave Craignure south on the A849 to Fionnphort, after 2.6 miles is the tiny village of Lochdon take the first left turning which is signposted to Gorten. Do not enter 20 mile an hour limit.

From Locahline – Fishnish ferry.

 Drive up to main A849, turn left to Craignure then follow directions as above.

 

If you get to either Lochdonhead Primary School or the telephone box you have missed the left hand turning leading to our house.

 

Follow the road for approx. 1 mile around the loch and crescent of houses, through a small wood emerging on a long straight  and then take the left fork, signposted High Oatfield B & B,  up a gravel track past the first house for about 200 metres,  we are  at the top of the lane.

 

Parking for The Hide is at the bottom of the steps by the green doors.

 

High Oatfield is located at Ordnance Survey GRID REF : NM 742332

 

We would advise NOT using your Satnav to try to find us as they are notoriously inaccurate on Mull.
